The Backlink Analytics tool can provide lengthy lists of competitor's backlinks that can be exported in spreadsheet formats. You can see your competitors backlink strategies including legitimate (blogs, directories) and illegitimate methods for gaining domain and site authority on Google. I also appreciate the keyword rankings, as it allows for easy reporting and tracking of SEO optimization strategies and keyword campaigns. Great tools for tracking keywords campaigns against similar business as well.
However, if possible, I would like you to expand a bit on your “zombie pages” tip..we run a site where are definitely enough pages to delete (no sessions, no links, probably not even relevant with the main theme of the site, not even important for the architecture of the site)..Nonetheless, I am not very sure what is the best technical decision for these pages…just deleting them from my CMS, redirecting (if there is a relevant alternative) or something else? Unindex them on Search console? what response code they should have? ..
A few years back we decided to move our community forum from a different URL (myforum.com) to our main URL (mywebsite.com/forum), thinking all the community content could only help drive additional traffic to our website. We have 8930 site links currently, which probably 8800 are forum content or blog content. Should we move our forum back to a different URL?
Still I double check to see what softwares are providing the real results. Some are lacking in a few areas and some use the same Google Keyword planner to fetch keywords. When it comes to keywords and PPC you need a lot. When it comes to keywords and website optimisation you need comptetitor analysis. This is done from several sources to ensure the best data is gathered. Using the free version of SEM Rush it is limited in what it provides. Would also love to see the insides of the GURU account. Thanks again for a great read.
The Lost Links tab has the same interface as the New Links report does. For your own domain you might want to consider tracking your own links in something like Raven or Buzzstream but this tool does report dropped links down to the day. Combine that with their crawling preferences (better links = quicker attention) and you can spot drops of substance quickly.
The tool is quite easy to use and it does pretty much what you expect it to. If you are into link research you should give this tool a try. The database appears to be a fairly good size for a new database and the ability to slice and dice that data from right within the web interface is a solid feature. If you do try it out, let us know what you think! We are also adding their link data to SEO for Firefox & the SEO Toolbar today.
Cons: If you're looking for rank tracking then I'd suggest looking elsewhere, it's a little wonky and not as easy to use as other rank tracking solutions. However, if you don't want to buy multiple pieces of software then the rank tracker will get the job done. The software is kind of a 'jack of all trades, master of none'; so you'll be able to get by with just this as your main piece of software, but if you want something a little more specialized then you should probably look elsewhere. You might end up not using a lot of the tools because there is so much to explore, but most of the tools that are there are pretty valuable. Other than that, some of the reports need some extra interpretation if you are going to present them to a client which isn't optimal but is understandable.

This feature can definitely help your SEO campaign, specifically, your link building campaign because you now have the capability to see all of the domains that removed your link from their content, and you can contact the webmaster to see if you can reclaim the lost link – this means that you now have the opportunity to either improve or continue your outreach and overall link building goals.
Pros: The main thing about Semrush is versatility and SEO functionality, but beside SEO there are lot of things you cqan do with, such as: brand monitoring, position tracking, SEO ideas and backlink audit. If you are not familiar with it, you can watch tutorials which are extremely helpful, but the one thing you should now is that you might be overwhelmed with lot of information about this platform. The price is affordable but it might be expensive for small size businesses. I like the competitor tracking because it is useful and it allows you to see competitor backlinks.
Building Relationships: Follow up on people linking to your sites to build even more beneficial relationships. You can also use this tool to find trustworthy influencers that are related to your business and who have established page authority. They can help you reach your target audience and earn you a valuable link in the process. Use this tool to see who they’re linking to or who’s linking to them. Reach out and discuss possible ways of getting a link or two from them based on the information our tool presents.
Keyword research is the bread and butter of any SEO campaign. You can’t have a SEO campaign without a defined list of primary and secondary keywords along with long and short tail keywords. It is so important that we don’t think that there is an SEO tool out there that does not have a keyword research tool in one form or the other. However, SEMRush’s keyword research tool is amongst the best.
Using the Organic Traffic Insights tool, you can get a list of keywords for which every one of your website’s pages are indexed for and the search volume they are bringing in along with the amount of traffic and raking position.  Additionally, you will also be able to consolidate your Google Search Console and Analytics data into a single place from where you can quickly view and discover all the keywords driving traffic. You’ll also know which URL is getting the most traffic and which is driving the highest number of conversions.
SEMrush is hands down the best tool for keyword research. I love that you can do competitor analysis and find the keywords people are searching to go to your competitor's site. You can add all your projects in one big dashboard and see a quick overview of your keyword rankings (I do this every other day to check if my sites were penalized/keywords dropped). The reporting feature is also a great alternative to Google Analytics and we send automated reports to our clients.
The biggest downside I think is the inaccurate keyword volume sometimes. Previously, I was only using Google's keyword planner and it gave us more precise volumes. I guess it's easier for Google since it's their own tool and they can give better numbers. This confuses us because in Ahrefs we may see potential in various keywords but in the long run, after our articles are published – the traffic is not what we expect sometimes. Though, it's accurate enough for the most part.
In general, I love Semrush. It's a lot of information. Even if some of the information in the database is a little outdated, the huge amount of data and ideas you can get from Semrush is worth it. You even get extra things like social networking tools. It is ideal for SEO and PPC campaigns. I can see the data on my website with a single click of a button. It also allows me to keep track of my keywords, but I think they are not as accurate or that the data has not been updated recently. SEMrush is a great tool for any online business. It helped us to rank higher in the search engines. In general, I must say that I would recommend the tool to other people. The speed of the scans is a great advantage, you can set up a scan in progress and in a matter of minutes it is complete.
Competitor backlink audit – Analyse the link profile of your competitor and research the opportunities, to match your, or even better outperform your competitors link profile and subject authority. When performing an competitor backlink audit you should also analyse inbound links pointing to top performing pages, so you don’t miss out on valuable link opportunities.
SEO and SEM go hand in hand but are very much different from each other. Search Engine Optimization is a technique by which you improve your search rank and drive traffic to your website. Search Engine Marketing is rather a broader term that encompasses SEO as well. It includes paid or sponsored advertisement, ensuring more visibility of your website.
Support for Multilingual Websites: Keyword research is available in 16 languages i.e. German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Finnish, Danish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Norwegian, Chinese and Swedish. So, regardless of the language or region, you’re targeting its possible to find the right keywords to reach them more effectively.
Spying on competitors have become the norm these days. Without knowing what and how your competitors are doing, it is difficult for a marketer to decide on a marketing technique that will not only drive traffic but also enable conversion. When it comes to website ranking, only paid ads do not serve the purpose. Although paid ads are a quicker way to come to limelight, organic search results are what actually ensure yours stability in the market. Tools like SEMrush helps in digging out the tiniest information about your competitors and thereby, improve your search ranking considerably.
The feature also gives you information about whether the competition is using high-volume keywords or ones with a long-tail to get their ranking. Plus, another important thing the report provides is a look into if the competition is using branded ad copy or branded keywords for better conversions. You’ll also learn how long the competitions’ ads have been around which tells you exactly how successful a campaign was during the year, season or specific periods. All of this is information which can be used to boost your own campaign.

Are you a business owner, online marketer or content creator? If so, most likely you would like more people to visit your website, read your content and buy your products or services. The easiest way to achieve it is to find out what your potential customers or readers are searching for on Google and create content on your website around these topics.

Competitor Backlink Audit: Analyze the link profile of your competitors and look for opportunities that can help improve your own link building and search performance. Whenever you perform a competitor backlink check or audit, you must also check the inbound links that are pointing to top ranking pages so you wouldn’t miss out on important link opportunities.

Pros: I own a small ecommerce business so analytics is critical for our success. I've tried a few other SEO services in the past but nothing beats SemRush in terms of features and accessibility. While other services' interfaces are clunky and hard to understand, SemRush lays everything out on their page in an easy-to-use format. The features are incredible, especially the Site Audit, which compares your keyword goals to the content that is already on your site and gives you tips on how you can rank higher for your chosen keywords. Even more incredibly, they provide "SEO templates" which makes content creation easy and friendly. It's nice to have such an easy platform for writing excellent-quality articles that converst. When you're only using Google Analytics, there's still a ton of information about your content and backlinks that you're not really seeing. SemRush makes this information available to you.

Pros: SEMRush provides loads of actionable data from SEO to PPC to Social. I use it a lot for Internet Advertising / PPC research on what competitors are doing - what are their ads saying, what keywords do they target, what is their estimated ad spend, etc all in one place. It helps with not only search ads - but also display ads - this super feature helps us understand what the competition is up to. It helps in keyword research for organic SEO as well as paid traffic. In terms of SEO it helps track position on organic search results (SERPS), SEO audit including technical stuff and backlinks.
Another advantage of using Ahrefs is their “Fresh Index” “Live Index” switch that displays backlinks that Ahrefs’ crawler found. The main difference between the two is that the Live Index is updated every 15-30 minutes to show live links in your site. For Fresh Index, it is updated at a much longer timeframe, but it still displays dead links which give you the chance to reclaim or change the dead link.

Pros: SEMrush is a neat and powerful tool for any online marketing campaigns. It is great for SEO and PPC campaigns. I can see my website's data with a single click of a button. It also allows me to track my keywords but I think that they are not as accurate or the data is not recently updated. Their backlink checker works fine for me and I can see who's linking to my websites.
Traffic pulling and having a successful conversion rate is the first and only priority for any and every company. Mostly, marketers indulge in Search Marketing. Real time analysis and competitor monitoring acts as a gateway to ways in which more traffic can be diverted to your own website through search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and others.
Hi, Brian. Thank you for the great article. I have a question about the part about 4 website addresses. Ours currently is set to https://www., and we would like to change it to just an https:// as the main website. Will this hurt our current link profile, or will everything stay the same? This might be a foolish question, but we are a bit worried. Thank you.
Ahrefs is a well-known tool primarily used for checking backlinks, but what most SEOs forget to take into consideration is that it is capable of so much more. With their massive data index, Ahrefs is definitely one of the most sought-after SaaS tools out in the market. Tools such as this helped eradicate the days wherein Google gets played by unethical, black hat SEO tactics.  They helped the industry turn for the better, and SEO has never been simpler. With the tools such as Ahrefs being available in the market, it became simple for us to get better at what we do.
I loved it! I am currently on a 7 days trial and will look forward to monthly membership! However, one thing that I would like to add, I have used both SEMrush and Ahref, and I believe that SEMrush has a great UI/UX when comparing to Ahref. However, this will quickly escalate when we’ll use Ahref for at least 2 days continuously. I am now addicted to Ahref, when I started using it I remember it was really difficult to get comfortable with the tool whereas SEMrush is easy to get comfortable. But SEMrush is way behind in auditing backlinks, Ahref is very strong for keyword research and backlink findings. What do you think?

ahrefs crawl backlinks fast than semrush, and now ahrefs added many new features like internal link checker Which makes it better than semrush, Initially I used semrush but when I used ahrefs, I liked ahrefs more. so my review, ahrefs is amazing seo tool than compared to semrush, and for keyword research keyword finder is also one of the best tool i hope you also will write about keyword finder. And you wrote this article with full information about both tool.

Semrush has helped our organization in different ways as it not just improved our website ranking but also enable us to make our clients happy by providing the best results. Semrush helped us by letting us know about the backlink opportunities. The tool also allows generating performance report which saved our time as we were able to send SEO performance reports to our clients any time.

Cons: Unfortunately, despite being a comprehensive tool, you do have to keep in mind that not all the data is completely up to date or accurate. Not that it's unusable, but I did find myself wondering why it was showing my PPC campaign's "current real-time" ad was actually an ad I haven't used for 6 months. In addition, I found that many of the links in the backlink audit were not accurate.

CPC Map is a nifty little tool developed by SEMrush to provide advertisers with an overview of what Cost Per Click advertising will cost them in different locations within the country. That said it still does not tell you which areas will be the most receptive and affordable to advertise in online. However, it still provides you with an easy way to evaluate the cost of advertising in a potential of a state or region. You can use the tool to compare search volume and PPC costs across a multitude of industries. It is great for market research or for a consultant who is about to quote a price to a client.
This report can help you reverse engineer, down to the day, a link building campaign that your competitor is running (always good to be out in front of a big link push by a competitor) and can also help you evaluate your own link campaign or even help you spot a link growth issue that may have resulted in some kind of penalty or over-optimization filter.
Spy On Competitors’ Best Performing PLAs: Which of the competitions’ product listing advertisements are showing up the most on Google? What do the ads look like, well that’s where this tool can help. The PLA Copies report shows you copies of the competitions’ advertisements via Google’s Shopping. You’ll see each ad as well as the number of keywords that bring up those ads in Google Shopping Results. This allows you to pick up the top performing ads used by the competition, analyze how they work, and you’ll know what Google prefers the most and then use them for yourself. The tool’s filters allow you to sort data by Product Price or Product Title. Plus, you can narrow the search to ads that are relevant to your business. Also, all reports can be exported in CSV, XLS and CSV formats.
Setting up the SEO Writing Assistant is pretty easy and is available at present only for the Google Chrome browser and WordPress. It is compatible with Google Docs which is a good start. To begin with, you need to head over to the download page, log-in (if you don’t have an account one will need to be created), choose to install the browser plugin and activate it post installation.
The Advertising Research report is mainly intended to improve your advertising campaigns by providing a glimpse into what the competition is doing. You will find out how the competition is leveraging PPC investments by viewing their traffic, volume, CPC estimations, etc. for every keyword. Plus, you’ll discover valuable information which allows for businesses to improve their PPC system and work on reducing the advertising budget by yielding better results. After all, there is a lot you can learn from a seasoned competitor who may have spent thousands of dollars honing their campaign.
Monitor Changes in Statistics: The Display Advertising Feature also allows you to see the changes in statics which depend on the ads and the devices on which they are displayed. Your display campaign will be visible across tablets, PCs, smartphones, etc. All of which results in being able to see which devices are producing the most impressions, check if text ads are doing better than media ads or vice versa and adjust your campaign settings to allow for better interaction.

Since each organization has specific business needs, it is advisable for them to desist from looking for a one-size-fits-all faultless software solution. Needless to say, it would be pointless to try to find such a platform even among popular software platforms. The smart thing to do would be to list the various essential aspects that need consideration such as main features, budget, skill levels of staff members, company size etc. Then, you should do your research thoroughly. Read some Ahrefs reviews and check out each of the other systems in your shortlist in detail. Such exhaustive homework can make certain you discard ill-fitting applications and zero in on the solution that offers all the aspects you require for business success.
The CPC Map is a handy tool which will give advertisers a good overview of the prices they can expect to pay for a particular niche in a particular region. However, the tool still needs more work, and the markets need to be expanded further especially into non-English speaking territories. That said the ones it currently operates in are pretty big and most people will be targeting English speaking regions anyways, so it is still worth exploring.
If you’ve gone through the whole post, we have clearly mentioned that we’re using SEMrush for a long time and also got a lot of better results with it (it means, we’re clearly mentioning that SEMrush can be a great choice for bloggers). But that being said, Ahrefs is not a bad tool either. In fact, both these tools have almost similar features with similar pricing plans. First, give a try to SEMrush with our free trial once and you’ll mostly end up using it.

I recommend using this tool for SEO, It is a no 1 tool if you are doing SEO. If you are doing SEO without using any tool then it is very good but it takes more time and you cannot find accurate data to analyze what doing next with your site. So without wasting any time, this tool helps you to find the right keywords and give you better suggestions for your site and increase your Traffic value.
Get Product Feed Insights: While Google AdWords may use keywords to decide if an ad should be shown product listing ads tend to manipulate the product feeds. So, the competition’s PLA feed is a secret, but that’s where this feature comes in. The Position Report generated shows keywords that are signaling their listing to show ads, their PLA’s ranking in search results, the PLAs that are popping up for each keyword, and a promoted product’s price and title amongst a few other things.
Pros: While there are plenty of SEO-related CRMs out there, SEMRush unifies all the essentials under one roof, while also including actual actionable SEO-hints and strategies right on your dashboard. There is even social media tracking and posting built in, so you don't even need to go find another software for that. It really does wonders for building a brand and maintaining brand awareness and mentions.
Pros: SEMrush is our primary SEO tool and it really does it all, especially with the massive upgrades in the last year. It tracks keyword ranking positions, offers a few keyword research tools, and compares the domain to others related to it. You can automate reports that are white labeled, too. It also does domain analysis, backlink tracking, and site audits which we use all the time in our SEO business. They have recently rolled out link opportunity and outreach tools as well as brand monitoring on social media, though we haven't used those as much lately (but plan to).
With SEMrush, companies can compare their advertising approaches with those of their rivals. By doing so, brands are able to find what makes their competitors popular with the consumers advertising-wise. This also allows them to adjust their budgets by uncovering the ad spend and return their competitions have. Thus, they can further enhance their campaigns with newly acquired knowledge and localize their messages.
The tool is quite easy to use and it does pretty much what you expect it to. If you are into link research you should give this tool a try. The database appears to be a fairly good size for a new database and the ability to slice and dice that data from right within the web interface is a solid feature. The other way is to get a no-obligation 7-day free trial by clicking here. Using it for 7 days will give you a very good idea as to what you can expect from the tool. It will give you a ton of insights and keywords which can be leveraged effectively to boost traffic and engagement. Not to mention the fact that you’ll be able to test everything we’ve said in this review and put it into practice for yourself. What’s more is that you’ll see a visible improvement in your engagement and traffic at the very least.
SEMrush Advertising feature helps in achieving the maximum ROI from your PPC campaigns. SEMrush gives you valuable data on your competitors’ PPC campaigns, like keywords, budget, campaign activities, and so on. Using these data, you can improve your own campaign and get the maximum ROI possible out of it. This not only helps you avoid certain mistakes, it also saves your time and cost. You cease from burning money in a campaign that gives no or least return.
Like all backlink monitors, it doesn't pick up anywhere near all backlinks and is slow to pick up new backlinks. However, all backlink tools have this same problem and Ahrefs is the best of those tools. One of my biggest gripes is that Ahrefs drops backlinks and count them as a lost domain, but after looking into the dropped campaigns you find that a majority of them are still there and Ahrefs dropped them from your backlink profile for an unknown reason.
Ahrefs isn't cheaper and has a less appealing interface and layout. SEMrush is aesthetically pleasing, but you need to be willing to allocate budget to it and to make use of the comprehensive array of tools it brings to the table to recoup that investment. Free plans might suit if you only want 10 keywords to look at; if not, buckle up. Use it right, and it'll be worth it.
Great article. Before reading this I was practically sold on SEMrush. However, after reading this article and the comments from other readers, I’m realizing I shouldn’t be so quick to pull the trigger and that Ahrefs may in fact be what I’m looking for. I will most likely do the trial period for both before deciding, but this article definitely opened my eyes to Ahrefs possibly being my best option (instead of SEMrush). Thanks for taking the time to write this article. Great work.

Whether searching for a product or determining what others are buying, entering a keyword is the first step. Select the ebay longtail keywords from the list that are most relevant and download them. By typing the results into Ebay, you will quickly see if there is a demand for your product. As a buyer you will get the most relevant products to your search.

Detailed breakdown of all our key SEO metrics and performance history. It's very easy to compare our performance against competitors, and identify new opportunities to improve. The "link intersect" tool is amazing! You can easily see who's linking to your competitors and not your site, and work through the report list to build your presence on those domains.
Pros: I love the fact that SEMrush solves so many digital marketing problems for me. I can accomplish all my initial project marketing goals with the help of SEMrush and the information it gives me. I can spy on competitor's marketing strategies and easily track keywords. Marketing audits are extremely easy to complete and the reports are super informative. Creating effective links and effective content is crucial for all marketers, and this tool will help you accomplish that.
Traffic over time: You can find out the traffic trend of the competitor website from this chart. Very useful to know their content marketing strategies. A steady increase of traffic line showcases that they use white-hat SEO strategies and use proper content marketing strategies. On the other hand, quick bump up of traffic and a quick breakdown of traffic reveals that the particular website has used black-hat SEO tactics and Google has penalized it.
The detailed analysis provides you with related phrases and words which can be added to the content. These additions will make the keyword dense, where you should add backlinks in the content, length of the material in comparison with the competition and how keywords are used compared to the competition. So, if one of your goals is to mimic your competitions’ SEO success the On Page SEO Checker makes life very easy.

The depth of your articles impresses and amazes me. I love all the specific examples and tool recommendations. You discuss the importance of backlinks. How important is it to use a tool to list you on directories (Yext, Moz Local, Synup or JJUMP)? Will Google penalize you for listing on unimportant directories? Is it better to avoid these tools and get backlinks one at a time and avoid all but a few key directories?
The SEO Content Template helps to boost and streamline your ability to write optimized content. The template is created by using the targeted keyword and continues to monitor your article’s SEO value as you keep writing. Obviously, there is nothing much to it but still happens to be a must-have tool if you’re writing a lot of SEO content for clients or your own websites since it speeds up the process.

Now keep in mind that, based on their stated crawling guidelines, the stronger links from stronger sites tend to get crawled more frequently so the spammiest of the spammy link approaches might not get picked up on. For that level of deep research a historical report from Majestic SEO and a link status checker, like Advanced Link Manager, is likely a better bet.
Traffic pulling and having a successful conversion rate is the first and only priority for any and every company. Mostly, marketers indulge in Search Marketing. Real time analysis and competitor monitoring acts as a gateway to ways in which more traffic can be diverted to your own website through search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and others.
the interface is quite nice. i like the feature that they can group all the things into a project, show the backlinks from each site and update sent to email in daily basis, sometimes it is quite busy that you cannot login and check all the metrics. Also, the competitors spending on ad is a good reference to see how and what have they done. And how we can react with them, like pay more to beat them or what. By the way, the backlink tool is very nice that we can remove toxic links linking to our site to prevent lowered ranking
Get Product Feed Insights: While Google AdWords may use keywords to decide if an ad should be shown product listing ads tend to manipulate the product feeds. The dashboard is an easy way to get an overall picture of our ranking, backlinks, and organic traffic. And as a small company looking to drive brand awareness through search, their keyword exploration tools are essential to our SEO strategy. It's also a pretty straightforward tool to use, so can you jump right in and get a lot of benefits straight away.
A recent survey of SEO experts from around the world asked about their favorite SEO tool. A total of 50 experts were surveyed out of which 30 of them recommended using SEMrush. It continues to be recommended as the best keyword research and competitive analysis tool on the market. While our above-mentioned review is pretty comprehensive and outlines every feature that SEMrush has to offer you’re really not going to know if this is the right tool for you unless you use it. But most people wouldn’t want to pay 99.95$ just to trial run software or tool they haven’t used before, and that’s where we can help you.
SEMRush provides us with reports on SERP placement, keywords, SEO placement, competitors' SERP strategies, and backlinks. It's an invaluable tool for data which aids in analysis, guides marketing decisions and keeping clients informed of progress in SEO strategies. It was helpful to show how the results of a technical audit increased site visibility. Also good for tracking ad and keyword campaigns.
SEMrush is hands down the best tool for keyword research. I love that you can do competitor analysis and find the keywords people are searching to go to your competitor's site. The Intersecting Link Opportunity report we love could offer an automatic version that takes into account the top 20 listings for a given keyword phrase, saving the researcher copy/paste time and having to run multiple requests. Their Most Popular Content list is definitely helpful, but doesn't give us the semantic relevancy we get from the intersecting report.

When you're only using Google Analytics, there's still a ton of information about your content and backlinks that you're not really seeing. SemRush makes this information available to you.
Pros: SEMrush has grown as a big time favourite in the domain of SaaS in the past decade or so. It has captured all types of clients, big and small due to its versatility and powerful package. Some of the well known clients include Quora, eBay, BNP Paribas etc. It has been awarded the best SEO suite of 2018 by various agencies like MENA, SEMY US Search Awards.
The tool allows you to find high-volume keywords as well as long-tail, low competition keywords for you to target. You can easily find an excellent set of keywords to start building your list which will then be used as part of the SEO strategy for the website. Not only that but you’ll get information for the value of each type of keyword, its CPC value, number of results, volume and even ad copies, etc. Plus, there is information about the topmost ranking domains for every keyword. Also, users can analyze keywords for mobile and desktop performance.

In this article, I will discuss about this SEM tool that can be used to research competitors’ keywords – SEMrush, which I have used in many projects. Writing is no more about just putting up what your readers love but also about searching and finding what readers have been searching and putting them into post, so, that it can drive relevant traffic from search engine. Or, putting it the other way, using these keywords, you can drive highly relevant traffic through ads in search engine.
I’m very local service oriented and I have several pages that our on the first page of google and I do get traffic. I see that I have a 1 rating DA and PA. There is decent competition for some of my keywords. Is possible to have a website that generates traffic with only a 1? It’s a young site and I’m trying my best to get it going stronger. I hired someone but that clearly hasn’t worked out well if I’m still at a one.
SEMrush could help me a ton with SEO at the moment. I have had two businesses before. I currently work full time for a construction business doing marketing and application development. The reason i no longer have a business is because i couldn’t afford to pay the monthly office space. I lost my team because there wasn’t enough sales coming in. I was trying to gain a large audience by focusing on content and free material. However, it did not produce the results i was hoping for and resulted in me being in debt. I’m 27 years old, still going to school, and working towards my dream. This could help me out tons.. and i have always followed your awesome blog. Give me a chance Matt!

The Content Analyzer tool also helps you compare different posts against each other and provide you with suggests as to how to improve the content for Google. The other neat feature of this tool is it tracks the performance of the content published on external websites. The Post Tracking sub-feature of the Content Analyzer provides the necessary metrics needed to evaluate how well the material is doing on a partner or referring websites.
Pros: I use the free version for my small e-commerce website. I have been able to link up my social media accounts so I can keep track of how they are doing and how much more (or less) engagement they each get week-on-week/ month-on-month. I've input my competitors so I can see how they are doing when comparing to mine (it's nice to know if my rankings have reduced and others have, it's perhaps a seasonality thing) SEMrush gives you masses of tips to help you improve your website, really drilled down into tips per page. My account is limited as it's the free one so I get updates monthly as to how my page tips are doing (such as I need to add ALT tags) but I actually like monthly reviews as it gives me plenty of time to get cracking and make a dint in my to-do list.
Overall: The quality of the platform, although clunky is great but overshadowed by unethical billing practices. Their billing department will freeze your account if you add on new services and make you send pics of your drivers license and credit card? They'll send you 3-5 separate emails telling you how they are locking you out of your data IMMEDIATELY and also that they are deleting it ASAP. God forbid you're out sick or on vacation and you're paying someone to sit and stare at their screen because SEMRush is throwing a fit because your card didn't go through the first time they ran it. Who runs a business like this?
You can check out how many visitors’ competitors are getting, how much of that traffic is paid, and how much of that is organic. So, you have a pretty good idea of how much the competition is spending on Google AdWords, which of their keywords are the so-called “Money Keywords” and what keywords have they lost and which are declining. All of this is beneficial information in the grand scheme of things since it helps to tailor your SEO strategy accordingly.
Hi Anil, both are great SEO tools I would say because I’ve been using both of them for a long time now. SEMrush offers even more incredible features and their databases are even bigger and regularly get updated when compared to Ahrefs. But as you said, Ahrefs is equally good and I really like their keyword analysis data to be precise when compared to any other tool.
Each company has its own characteristics, and can need a specific Marketing Software solution that will be adjusted to their business size, type of customers and staff and even particular niche they cater to. It's not wise to count on finding a perfect solution that will work for each company no matter what their history is. It may be a good idea to read a few SEMrush reviews first and even then you should keep in mind what the solution is supposed to do for your business and your workers. Do you require an easy and straightforward service with just elementary functions? Will you actually make use of the advanced functionalities required by experts and big enterprises? Are there any particular features that are especially useful for the industry you operate in? If you ask yourself these questions it is going to be much easier to find a trustworthy app that will fit your budget.
Brand Monitoring is essential since it allows you to figure out how popular the brand is becoming. Each time a customer or some other business mentions your brand on a blog or social media post it has a positive effect on your image and also on SEO. The tool will provide you with information if someone or some entity has mentioned your brand. So, you know who is talking about the brand and if what they are saying is negative, positive or neutral. That will give you some ideas as to if you should follow up on those mentions or leave them alone.

Lite allows you to have a 7 day trial for $7. After the trial ends, it costs $99 per month or $990 per year. This plan allows you to track up to 5 projects (websites) and track 500 keywords per project. You can search 25 batches of keywords per day, but you can search up to 10,000 keywords per batch. I like to use it to search multiple ideas for long tail keywords at once so I don't use up all my searches.
Localize Ad Campaigns: Paid search like the one offered by AdWords differs in the way it works from one country to the next. If you are targeting international clients, the advertisements have to be adapted for a specific geography. The local ad campaigns feature allows you to analyze keywords and texts from over a hundred countries in more than twenty languages. You are able to look at what keywords Dutch, French and American users are typing into search boxes to find the services products, etc. that they want.
The only tool which hasn’t received much of an update is the SEO audit tool, but then again it wasn’t broken or lagging in the first place. So, despite it not receiving much love from the developers, it is still one of the best features. It is comprehensive, descriptive and useful even for someone who's taken on the gigantic job of doing their own SEO. It gives everyone a good overview of how well things are going.
I just tried and its working fine from my end. When clicking on the link, you should be taken to the SEMrush page where you should be able to grab SEMrush pro account for free for the next 14 days worth $47. Please clear cache for your browser and try then. Please let me know if you still face any issue in claiming the 14 days SEMrush pro account for free.
