I really like the projects you can set up in SEMrush. We have a lot of different solutions so I create projects for each one with specific keywords. Then I used the project dashboard to see how that set of keywords is ranking, trending, SEO suggestions, social etc. I also like that within the project you can see specific landing pages and what keywords are ranking for that landing page.
Pros: What I like most is that Semrush offers a lot of useful features and they are constantly adding new ones and developing the tool. Positions tracking is only small part of it - you cancreate different projects to automatically track changes in positions for keywords that are important for your business - for ex. by geo location, which is very useful for an international business.
Pros: SEMrush offers many ways for comprehensive competitve research. It is a must have for every search engine optimizer. Information handled is extensive and can be passed on to clients easily and for our team to use efficiently. SEMrush has a SEO community aspect, the training base and integration is excellent. Videos and webinars are offered for comprehension and awareness.

Comparison features and backlink tracking are indispensable. Good to help with estimation of traffic on potential client's websites. You can go to the table in a client meeting better prepared. This along with SEO powersuite makes a good package.
AHREFS is certainly a great tool for bloggers and internet marketers. You have explained every functionality in great detail. I liked the link intersection part. How important is it to use a tool to list you on directories (Yext, Moz Local, Synup or JJUMP)? Will Google penalize you for listing on unimportant directories? Is it better to avoid these tools and get backlinks one at a time and avoid all but a few key directories?
What I like best is the number of tools offered to manage your client work. Two items I rely on weekly are site audits and search visibility tracking. Overall, SEMrush has become a fairly robust tool in the past couple years.
